History of the Brokerage

In the 1970’s Polzler Real Estate - The Action People was a well respected real estate brokerage with multiple branch offices in the West End, owned and operated by the late Frank Polzler. A true visionary, Polzler with a partner in Walter Schneider, recognized the industry needed a paradigm shift and in 1980 they bought the rights to RE/MAX Ontario Atlantic Canada, converting his offices to RE/MAX Professionals Inc.

Founded in 1980 RE/MAX Professionals Inc. was the first RE/MAX office in Ontario. Under the leadership of Frank’s daughter Pamela Alexander, the brokerage grew exponentially and into multiple locations. In 1995 Pamela joined the regional office of RE/MAX Ontario Atlanitic in Canada now known as RE/MAX Canada as the Regional Director and soon after was promoted to CEO and Managing Director of North American operations.

Fast forward to today where RE/MAX Professionals Inc. is now under the ownership of Leah Ambler Pamela's daughter. As a third generation brokerage owner, growing up around real estate entrepreneurs and visionaries, Leah witnessed the passion that built the RE/MAX brand in Canada and has lead her Toronto brokerage to maintain its position as one of the leading brokerages for sales in West Toronto year-over-year.

Leah’s brother Christopher Alexander, who started his career in 2010 as a Sales Associate at RE/MAX Professionals Inc., quickly scaled the ranks to become a third generation RE/MAX leader. Christopher joined the sub-master franchise RE/MAX INTEGRA as a Franchise Sales Consultant in 2014. He then served as Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of RE/MAX INTEGRA, and was responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as developing and overseeing business strategies. He joined RE/MAX, LLC as Senior Vice President of RE/MAX Canada in July 2021 and was named President of RE/MAX Canada in November 2021.

In 2020, Leah and her brother Christopher Alexander formed what is now knows as RE/MAX Professionals North, Brokerages, which as become the market leader across Haliburton County. Leah and Christopher come from a close-knit family and embrace each member of the organization as part of their extended family. The culture is a nurturing one that strives to provide each member with encouragement, education and support to realize their hopes & dreams for their businesses and lives.

Leah Ambler

Broker/Owner

Leah is a third-generation REALTOR®, having grown up amongst real estate entrepreneurs and visionaries. She witnessed firsthand how the passion that built the RE/MAX brand changed an entire industry. With the insight of those early pioneers, her own experience in real estate sales and business development, Leah adds youthful energy and perspective taking RE/MAX Professionals to a whole new level.


Christopher Alexander

Owner

Christopher Alexander oversees operations for the company-owned RE/MAX Canada region as the President of RE/MAX Canada, which includes Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan. Additionally, he works closely with the leaders of the independent RE/MAX Quebec region to build a cohesive brand strategy across the country and is Co-owner of RE/MAX Professionals North Brokerage with his sister Leah Ambler.


Katie Rowe

Broker of Record and Sales Manager

Focussing on Retention, Education, and Culture- Katie strives to embrace the skills of our REALTORS, while also pushing their boundaries to see opportunities in how to grow their businesses. Katie can be found sitting down one-on-one with our REALTORS to review their progress, find their strengths and weaknesses, set goals and discuss strategies to implement them, and follow up to ensure progress is being made. Katie also connects groups of Agents together for collaboration meetings to discuss changes within the real estate market and she challenges Agents to make connections within the business. Katie has a strong passion for education and is always looking for ways to educate our team and keep them engaged in learning more about the real estate industry. From group zoom sessions, smaller group in person sessions, and even some one-on-one training- our Agents have the opportunity to learn in every facet of real estate. She firmly believes that education needs to be at the forefront of a Broker of Record’s position to ensure that we set the standard for real estate professionals coming in to this business, and for those that want to stay in this business. Most important to Katie is the culture within our team and offices. Katie wants everyone to feel welcome when they come into the office environment. She encourages Agent connections and inspires everyone to work together and support one another while encompassing everything that the RE/MAX brand has to offer.


John Manucdoc

John is an experienced coach and trainer who has taught at the Toronto, Durham and Barrie Real Estate Boards. With an extensive knowledge of RECO, REBBA, Board and Legislative policies, John’s design and instruction of over 30 industry related topics has benefited numerous Brokers and Sales Representatives
